Smoldering Anvil was "unofficially" founded in winter of 2024 when the need to fabricate and design tools and devices for certain work came about. Ultimately, there was a demand that created a need. Thus work and preparations began to fill the needs. It wasn't until the person filling those needs realized that "Hey, I could be doing something with this." that he indeed could be doing something with this. So that is how Smoldering Anvil was born. 

Other than that, Smoldering Anvil also goes back to some other ties to multiple other people, including many other friends and family in other trades who are helping as a collective. As for now getting started this is primarily, just a hobby. However, if (IF) this does go full scale it would be great to see where this goes. This also goes back to many years (more than a decade and plenty of campfire tinkering) and lot's and lots of research and just watching videos to try and grasp some understanding to build some sort of confidence in the craft.  Nonetheless, the only way to get better is to actually get out here and get the hammer in the hand, smith some metal and learn from my mistakes.

Having this desire to become a blacksmith has been something that has been rooted with me and a few of my friends for some time. The planning and thought process behind everything and  to see everything come together (granted small scale at the moment) is amazing. We do have some plans to eventually build a foundry and do some metalsmithing in the near future as well. On the contrary, for now our primary objective is to get the forge up and running and to get hot iron and steel rolling.
